ITINERARY

Day 0Departure day - Overnight journey to Pune

Departure from the Origin citby Non-AC Sleeper Class Train.

  • Vijayawada: Departure at 06:30 AM
  • Hyderabad (Nampally): Departure at 2:40 PM

Day 1Arrival & Andharban forest trek

  • Arrive at Pune Railway Station in the early morning hours.

  • Freshen up at the station before departure.

  • Board a Non-AC Private Vehicle from Pune.

  • En route, stop at a local restaurant for breakfast.

  • Arrive at the Andharban trek starting point.

  • Receive a briefing from the trek leader about the trail, safety instructions, and expectations.

  • Start the Andharban Dark Forest Trek – an immersive 14 km (one-way) trek through dense, misty forest landscapes.

    • Duration: Approx. 7 hours

    • Experience waterfalls, valleys, and the magical greenery of the Western Ghats.

  • Enjoy a local lunch at stalls along the route or near the endpoint, depending on timing.

  • Complete the trek and head back to the base village.

  • Proceed to our homestay for check-in and freshening up.

  • Relish a simple, homemade dinner at the homestay.

  • Relax and unwind with your fellow trekkers.

 

🛏 Stay Information:

  • Accommodation is in a traditional village homestay.

  • Note:

    • Beds will not be available; everyone will sleep on the floor.

    • Bedsheets will be provided.

    • A couple of shared washrooms are available.

    • As this is an offbeat and rustic experience, please treat the stay as a basic necessity, not a luxury.

Day 2Devkund Waterfall Trek

  • Wake up early at 4 AM and complete basic freshening up.

  • Prepare for the morning trek to Devkund Waterfall.

  • Begin the Devkund Waterfall Trek.

  • The trail is approximately 5 km one way through serene forest paths and scenic landscapes.

  • Reach the breathtaking Devkund Waterfall, spend some time enjoying the views, and click a few memorable pictures.

  • Trek back to the homestay.

  • Enjoy a fresh local breakfast on arrival.

  • Pack up and check out from the homestay.

  • Depart from the village towards the base city via private vehicle.

  • We begin our journey towards the enchanting valleys of Lonavala, where nature’s charm and mountain air await.

  • Arrive at the Lonavala campsite; accommodation in commando or camping tents(subject to availability).
  • Dinner is served at the campsite. Overnight stay in tents.

 

Day 3Lohagad Fort Trek & Return Journey

  • Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at the campsite.
  • Check out and proceed  towards the base of the historic Lohagad Fort, nestled in the Western Ghats
  • Get ready for a scenic and enriching hike with rich Maratha heritage all
    around

Start Hiking Towards the Top
• Begin the ascent through trails, surrounded by lush greenery
• Enjoy the cool breeze and peaceful atmosphere that make the hike soothing
• The trail offers visually delightful views, perfect for first-time trekkers and
nature lovers

Explore the Summit
• Reach the top and explore the ancient gates, reservoirs, and the iconic Vinchu Kata ridge
• Soak in the panoramic views of the valley and nearby forts
• Rest, explore, and take time to enjoy the scenic beauty and serenity

Descend and Lunch

  • Descend and proceed to Lonavala or Pune, stopping en route for lunch.
  • Begin the overnight return journey to Hyderabad.

CANCELLATION POLICY

🔹 General Policy:

  • No refund shall be made for the initial booking amount under any circumstances.


🔹 Cancellations & Postponements by Organiser (MOW):

MOW reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event in the following situations:

  • If the minimum number of travellers (8) is not met.

  • Due to uncontrollable external factors such as:

    • Natural calamities (heavy rains, earthquakes, landslides)

    • Strikes, bandhs, curfews

    • Virus outbreaks or government restrictions

    • Other unforeseen emergencies

In such cases, participants may choose to:

  1. Transfer the booking to an alternative available event.

  2. Opt for a full refund (deducting any applicable transportation cancellation charges).

Refunds will be processed via bank transfer within two business weeks.


🔹 Cancellations by the Traveller (You):

▪ Cancellation within 48 hours of event start time:

  • No refund will be issued.

  • Last-minute cancellations due to personal issues (health, work, etc.) will not be entertained.

  • No ticket transfer or date rescheduling allowed.

▪ Cancellation 3 to 6 days before the event:

  • Ticket can be transferred to a friend with prior notice.

  • No refund, but your friend can participate in your place.

 Cancellation 7 or more days before the event:

  • 50% refund of the trip amount (excluding payment gateway charges).

  • Refunds will be processed via bank transfer within two business weeks.

  • Participants must be aged 18 or above. Minors (15–17) must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

  • Basic physical fitness is required, as the itinerary includes moderate trekking.

  • Participants are expected to follow the instructions of the trek leaders and organizers at all times.

2. Booking & Payments
  • Full payment must be made at the time of booking to confirm participation.

  • The initial booking amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • Payment gateway or transaction charges are non-refundable.

3. Travel & Accommodation
  • Sleeper class train tickets (SL class) will be arranged as per availability; seat/berth preferences cannot be guaranteed.

  • Local transportation will be provided in Non-AC vehicles (Tavera/Tempo/Mini Bus).

  • Accommodation will be on a sharing basis:

    • Rajmachi: Basic homestay (shared hall with mats and blankets)

    • Lonavala: Separate tents for men and women at the campsite

4. Food & Beverages
  • Only the meals mentioned in the itinerary (2 breakfasts, 2 dinners – all vegetarian) are included.

  • Participants are advised to carry their own dry snacks and refillable water bottles.

  • Alcohol and drug use are strictly prohibited during the event.

5. Code of Conduct
  • Respect local customs, fellow travellers, trek leaders, and the natural environment.

  • Littering, misbehaviour, or damage to property (homestays, vehicles, campsite) may lead to immediate removal from the event without refund.

  • Participants must comply with safety instructions provided by the guides at all times.

6. Health & Safety
  • Participants must inform the organizers of any pre-existing medical conditions before the trip.

  • Basic first aid will be available, but the organizers are not liable for any medical emergencies.

  • MOW is not responsible for any injury, accident, illness, or loss of life caused due to natural hazards or personal negligence.

7. Itinerary Changes
  • The itinerary is subject to change depending on weather conditions, government restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances.

  • MOW reserves the right to cancel or modify the event without prior notice in such cases. Suitable alternatives or refunds (as per policy) will be offered.

8. Personal Belongings
  • Participants are solely responsible for their belongings throughout the trip.

  • Avoid carrying expensive electronics, valuables, or heavy luggage.

  • MOW is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.

1. What is the fitness level required for this trip?

The itinerary involves moderate trekking. Participants should be in good physical health and capable of walking 6–8 km over uneven terrain. No prior trekking experience is necessary, but basic fitness is essential.

2. What type of accommodation is provided?

Accommodation is basic but clean and safe:
- Bhira Village: Homestay in a shared hall with mats and blankets provided.
- Lonavala: Campsite stay in separate tents for men and women.

3. Will there be washroom facilities available?

Yes, basic washroom facilities will be available at both the homestay and the campsite. However, please note these are rural locations, and facilities may be minimal.

4. What food will be provided?

We provide:

  • 2  breakfasts (Poha)

  • 2  dinners
    Participants are advised to carry personal snacks, energy bars, or dry fruits for treks. Bottled water is not provided, so bring a refillable bottle.

5. How will we travel during the trip?

  • Sleeper class (SL) train tickets are provided for Hyderabad–Pune/Lonavala–Hyderabad.

  • Local travel is arranged in Non-AC vehicles (Tavera/Tempo/Mini Bus).

6. What should I carry?

Carry a backpack (not trolley bags), trekking shoes, 2–3 sets of clothes, rainwear, water bottle, snacks, toiletries, flashlight, power bank, basic medication, and a copy of your ID. A detailed packing list is shared separately.

7. Will mobile network be available?

Mobile connectivity is patchy or unavailable in Bhira village and parts of the trek routes. Please inform your family in advance about limited access.

8. Is alcohol or smoking allowed?

No. This is a strictly no-alcohol, no-smoking trip. Consumption of alcohol or intoxicants during the event will lead to immediate removal without refund.

10. What if I need to cancel?
