Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Dehradun - Drive to Sankri (Scenic drive through Uttarakhand’s valleys)

Early morning meeting at ISBT Dehradun for orientation.

6-8 hour drive passing Mussoorie, pine forests, and rivers.

Stop for meals and photography at picturesque viewpoints.

Arrive in Sankri (6,455 ft), check into a guesthouse.

Evening stroll around Sankri village and briefing session.

Relax over dinner, overnight stay.

Day 2Sankri - Taluka (Drive) → Trek to Seema (Trek through dense forests and remote villages)

  • Early morning drive to Taluka, crossing through pine and deodar forests.
  •  
  • Begin trek along the Karmanasha River, traversing chestnut, walnut, and chinar trees.
  •  
  • Visit Gangaar village, capturing village life and mountain views.
  •  
  • Hike along the river with waterfalls adding to the serene atmosphere.
  •  
  • Arrive at Seema campsite by afternoon, set up tents.
  •  
  • Brief on campsite protocols and enjoy a cozy campfire dinner.

Day 3Seema to Rainbasera (Journey through lush meadows and riverside trails)

Morning trek along Supin River towards Debshu Bugyal.

Reach Debshu Bugyal to witness panoramic views of Kala Nag peak.

Steep descent through forests to reach Supin River’s rocky banks.

Cross a bridge over the river and continue along its scenic right bank.

Encounter steep and narrow sections with careful footing needed.

Arrive at Rainbasera, camp near the river for an evening by the water.

Day 4Rainbasera to Ruinsara Tal

Trek along Supin River, gradually ascending towards the lake.

Trail leads through rhododendron bushes and open meadows.

Arrive at Ruinsara Tal by early afternoon, set up camp near the lake.

Explore the lake and hear stories of its mythological connection.

Stunning views of surrounding peaks, including Banderpooch and Dhumdhar Kandi.

Optional evening walk to view the sunset from nearby ridges.

Day 5Ruinsara Tal to Odari

  • Begin with a descent to the Supin River, crossing via a sturdy wooden bridge.
  •  
  • Ascend through small clearings, moving south-east along the river.
  •  
  • Pass through scenic meadows with grazing yaks and small streams.
  •  
  • The trail meanders and opens up to reveal Odari, a naturally formed cave.
  •  
  • Learn about the local belief that Odari sheltered Bali, Hanuman’s brother.
  •  
  • Evening session to practice trekking techniques and rest.

Day 6Odari to Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass (Challenging high-altitude Bali Pass crossing)

  • Start the ascent early for a long trek to Bali Pass (16,240 ft).
  •  
  • Navigate through snow patches, using techniques learned on Day 5.
  •  
  • Reach the pass summit with breathtaking 360-degree mountain views.
  •  
  • Capture photos of Swargarohini, Banderpooch, and the Garhwal ranges.
  •  
  • Carefully descend through a steep and narrow path filled with loose scree.
  •  
  • Follow the “goat route,” an ancient but narrow trail, to Upper Dhamni.
  •  
  • Trek further to Lower Dhamni for an overnight stay and campfire relaxation.

Day 7Lower Dhamni to Yamunotri → Janki Chatti (Sacred Yamunotri visit and hot springs rejuvenation)

Begin trek through dense forest trails leading towards Yamunotri.

Reach Yamunotri after an hour of mild ascent, visit the Yamunotri shrine.

Option to take a refreshing dip in the sacred Sulphur hot springs.

Continue to Janki Chatti, a pilgrim spot with guesthouses and markets.

Overnight stay in Janki Chatti, with a celebratory meal marking trek’s end.

Day 8Departure from Janki Chatti to Dehradun (Conclude the journey with shared memories and scenic drive)

Gather at designated point for arranged transport to Dehradun.

Stop at viewpoints along the return journey for final photographs.

Reach Dehradun by afternoon, marking the end of a life-changing adventure.

THINGS TO CARRY

Gears :

  • A Rucksack bag and a day pack during the trek
  • Day pack + rain cover: Mandatory if you’re offloading your backpack. It will hold your essentials like a water bottle, poncho, sunglasses, sunscreen, protein bars, Wallet, Power banks and anything else you might need for the day.
  • 2-Litre re usable water bladder or bottle

Medicines :

  • one strip of Diamox
  • Glucose powder or ORSL-incase of dehydration Medicines for Headache,diarrhea,motion and altitude sickness
  • Dusting Powder
  • Dettol,bandages and cotton
  • Any prescribed medicine

Personal Accessories :

  • Toiletries: Sunscreen, moisturizer, lip balm, toilet paper,hand sanitizer, toothbrush &toothpaste, hand towel, soap/facewash, sanitary napkins/alternatives. AVOID CARRYING WET WIPES AS THEY’RE NOT BIODEGRADABLE. Carry a Ziplock bag to hold your used wet wipes and sanitary napkins(Do not litter)

Foot wear :

 

  • Trekking shoes: NOT sports shoes or canvas shoes. Look for trekking shoes with high ankle support and good grip.Choose one size bigger for comfort.
  • Slippers/ floaters: to wear in Homestay.

Clothing : 

  • A sun cap and a woolen cap
  • UV protected sunglasses
  • One cotton long sleeves and 2 short sleeve t-shirt 1 fleece jacket
  • 2 pairs of thermals ( top&bottom)
  • 1 heavy Thick jacket/down jacket
  • 1 pair of gloves
  • At least 2 long pants (trek pants and cargo pants are favorable)
  • 4 sets of undergarments 2 pairs of socks
  • A small towel
  • A rain jacket or a poncho.

Must Carry :

  • Authentic Govt. recognized ID Sunscreen,lipbalm and UV protected Sunglasses
  • Comfortable warm clothing like woolen socks, cap, fleece jackets or warmers, down jacket, toiletries.
  • Personal medicine(if any) & few medicines for motion sickness and altitude sickness power banks
  • Protein bars: For energy LED torchlight

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  •   ⁠Team MOW reserves the right to change, modify, add, or cancel the planned schedule incase of emergency situations.
  •  ⁠Team MOW reserves the right to alter accommodation arrangements due to external factors beyond our control.

UNDERSTANDING:

  •   ⁠Team MOW reserves the right to capture photographs and use them on social media. If you have any concerns, please inform us, and we will ensure you are not included in the photographs.
  •   ⁠Please refrain from using plastic and always use dustbins.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • No Refund shall be made with respect to the initial booking amount for any cancellations. However,

Cancellation and postponements by organiser(s):

  • MOW may decide to cancel the event if there are less than 8 travellers or due to external factors which are beyond our control, such as Natural Hazards like rains, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, Virus OutBreak, curfew, etc,
  • The Team will inform you about alternate events. You can choose to switch to any other event for which seats are available or choose to cancel in this case, the full amount will be refunded(Transportation Cancellation charges will be deducted)

Cancellation policy by the traveler(YOU) :

  • If you cancel 48 hours before the date of the event: No refund would be provided.
  • Last-minute cancellations due to work, health issues, etc. would not be entertained and no refund or transfer shall be allowed for the same.
  • No postponing your ticket to future events and no refund within 48 hours of the event start time.
  • If you cancel 3-6days before the date of the event: you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard- earned money.
  • If you cancel 7 days before the date of the event: 50 % of the full amount of the trip. (Payment gateway charges will be deducted).
